Erika Alsid Short, a trial attorney with Chason, Rosner, Leary & Marshall LLC, is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association. Erika began her career as a Summer Associate with Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLP and transitioned to the position of Senior Litigation Associate, trying cases before the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland and numerous hearings before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission. Today, Erika focuses her practice on a broad range of litigation matters including workers’ compensation, insurance coverage disputes, personal injury and toxic tort matters, business, real estate and foreclosure litigation, and medical malpractice. Erika also serves as co-counsel in a complex death penalty case, appointed by the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Outside of her litigation practice, Erika serves on the Baltimore County Police Athletic League Board, as an attorney scorer for the Baltimore County Public Schools Mock Trial Competition, and as past Co-Chair and Committee Member for Bridesmaids Bingo, an annual charity event held to support My Sister’s Place, a shelter for battered women and their children.
