Raymond “Ray” Marshall, one of the founding members of Chason, Rosner, Leary & Marshall LLC,
is a member of the Maryland, Virginia and District of Columbia state bar associations. His career
began as a Law Clerk to the now retired Honorable Ellen M. Heller, Administrative Judge, Circuit
Court for Baltimore City, where his experience with product liability and lead paint cases led to
the development of a practice in the areas of personal injury litigation, particularly in toxic torts.
Prior to forming Chason, Rosner, Leary & Marshall LLC, Ray was a partner at the law firm of
Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP, where he pursued his interest in actions involving Methyl
tert-butyl ether (“MTBE”), mold, fuel spills, and lead paint, along with business litigation and
insurance disputes. After spending numerous years honing his advocacy skills, Ray is involved
in a broad range of litigation matters. He has extensive experience practicing before the state,
federal and appellate courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Ray served for six years on the Board of Directors, including one year as Vice President, for the Maryland Disability Law Center, a non-profit organization that works to ensure equal access for persons with disabilities throughout the state of Maryland. Ray has also volunteered as a youth football coach and is currently serving as a youth basketball coach with the Towson Recreation Council.
Raymond L. Marshall has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Award for Advocacy Leadership in memory of Stanley S. Herr by The Arc Baltimore. The Arc Baltimore provides advocacy and high quality, life-changing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
On June 7, 2012, Raymond L. Marshall was recognized by The Maryland Disability Law Center with its 2012 Legal Advocacy Service Award. MDLC advocates for people with disabilities throughout the State of Maryland.
